  • Aleene's Creative Living - Website for the popular craft program (shown on cable channel TNN). The site has many cutesy, non-home decor projects but there are quite a few projects that can easily be adapted. Since the show/website is done by Aleene's, their products are prominently featured.
  • B. Smith With Style - Classy website with excellent project guides/transcripts from the syndicated Do-It-Yourself (DIY) program.
  • Build It Plans & Ideas - DIY (or get someone to make it for you) plans for woodworking projects ranging from furniture to toys (the sketches and photos for the12th Century Medieval Furniture look especially beautiful). Plans are reasonably priced (Canadian dollars, so non-Canadian residents will probably need to use international money orders) and are e-mailed to you in PDF format upon receipt of payment.
  • Country Sampler Decorating Ideas - This country magazine's website offers adaptable project ideas that could work well even in a high tech or medieval setting.
  • DecoArt Web Site - Website for a paint company but there are lots of good projects (featuring their products, of course).
  • Gothic Martha Stewart - You don't have to be into the gothic sub-culture to enjoy this site. Lots of good ideas, guidelines and projects that can be adapted to suit your own tastes.
  • HGTV Online - The on-line home for the Home & Garden Television cable channel. HGTV is the home improvement lover's and do-it-yourselfer's dream channel, with lots of excellent programs. Be sure to check out Villages/Designer's Point/Town Square for some superb decorating tips.
  • Interior Decorating: The Mining Co. - Lots of projects, hints, tips and links to help you decorate your home.
